The most bittersweet part of my job- seeing my friends of four years grow up at Pacific and depart for bigger and better things. That is the nature of my job at a university, but I think I just miss everybody already. Of course, I have a special affinity for the lovely seniors of Delta Gamma because they were one of my first classes to see from beginning to end, from Tiger Dancers tryouts to DG Bid Day, and now, Graduation.
These ladies are truly so much fun to photograph because they are… ridiculous and absolutely gorgeous. For the grad photos, the ladies wanted photos that brought out their goofy and fun personalities. I didn’t have to direct them at all. I love it.
My favorite part of this picture: Kinsey’s face (fourth from left)
I love shooting by Knoles Hall’s walkway to the Rose Garden because during Spring’s golden hour, the sun reflects off of Burns Tower’s white paint and provides a beautiful fill light as seen below. I bet the architects that built the school did not intend for that to happen, but isn’t that so fun how things work out? By the way, I love the sun’s rim light on their hair!
A photoshoot at Pacific is not complete unless you shoot by Pacific’s front gates. I wanted to have some fun with the ladies and asked them to do a badass sexy walkway strut, and my goodness they knew exactly what to do.
Finally- the best part of the shoot: champagne!!!!!
Check out the video! Yeah, my camera got a little sticky, but it was worth it!
To the seniors of DG- cheers to you and congratulations! I will miss you dearly and please come back to visit!
